Robert started his career at the age of just 10, appearing in Peking Opera productions around the city of Beijing. He later moved to New York where among many productions he appeared in the legendary Nuyorican Poet's Cafe's 'Preacher and Rapper' for which he received critical acclaim from the likes of the New York Times.

'The Long March' will not be the first time Robert has appeared in a film about recent Chinese history. In 1997 he played the role of Chairman Mao in the Martin Scorsese epic, and Oscar Nominated, 'Kundun'.Among Robert's other credits are 'Red Corner' with Richard Gere and more recently an appearance with Jack Black in the Richard Linklater directed film 'School Of Rock'.

We are still awaiting confirmation of which role Robert will play in the film. News on that will be released here shortly.
